- At the time of the closure of the BR AU, Hiroshi was one of nine remaining unrolled characters, along with Haruka Tanizawa, Hirono Shimizu, Izumi Kanai, Mitsuko Souma, Ryuhei Sasagawa, Shinji Mimura, Takako Chigusa, and Yoshimi Yahagi.

- Fior's characters in the BR AU were both quite excellent. Ryuhei gets all the glory, and is certainly deserving of mention, but Hiroshi was a ton of fun as well, in no small part because he represented a character in a vein I don't really think Fior has explored much since, but that he was very successful at. Like most of Kiriyama's gang, Hiroshi was pretty true to his original character but dialed back a little and given a lot more depth. He became, in many ways, the reasonable member of the group, focusing on dealing with the game rather than on revenge or personal glory. He was all set to take on the role of unlikely hero when the game ground to a halt, and not getting to see that play out remains one of my biggest regrets about the abrupt end.
Like any character, Hiroshi had a few flaws, but most of them were things shared by the bulk of the BR AU (most notably, he wasn't in many threads and the entire group's pace was so slow that narrative just didn't build in a huge way). Hiroshi also faded into the background in his first couple threads, which is understandable considering his role in the group but a shame because he had very strong writing. On the whole, though, he's a character I really enjoyed, and I'd love to see Fior take another swing at Hiroshi's brand of protagonist. - MurderWeasel - Hiroshi was a good read, particularly when it came to his interactions with his friends. It would have been nice to have seen where he would have gone had the BR:AU been run to completion.-bacon
